Education/Certification:
- High School Diploma and
- College courses specializing in computer operation, installation, maintenance and repair or
- Experience in hardware/software support in a corporate/school network environment
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Knowledge of LAN, VLAN, and WAN network design and installation
- Knowledge of network hardware and software applications including network servers, printers, and other equipment
- Ability to work with multiple operating systems and network protocols
- Ability to analyze and resolve computer network problems
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Instruct or train others in the use and care of computer hardware and software
- Demonstrate good interpersonal skills to work with students, teachers, administrators and vendors
- Mutli-task while maintaining patience and flexibility
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to llift objects up to 100 pounds
- Ability to climb ladders
